We recently hit a big milestone with Hungrito’s Instagram. We have now over 50,000 followers on our Instagram page. We all know this number isn’t that uncommon and unattainable on social media. But Hungrito’s social media journey tells many more stories and lessons than the follower count.
First of all, let me explain what Hungrito is. Hungrito is a food discovery platform which helps foodies discover the best food dishes in Ahmedabad & Gandhinagar. It all started with an idea to help people find and eat the best food. After many ups and downs, revisions & exploring different directions, what you see today is Hungrito.
We currently have over 100K+ members in our community across various social media platforms. We have organized two full-fledged food fests in Ahmedabad. We have partnered with over 70 restaurants & cafes.
On this journey of “achieving something from nothing“, I have learned a few things, which I would like to share in this post:
Importance of a strong core team
Hungrito is handled by some of the most incredible people I’ve come across, who work consistently to provide value to our community. Our content including campaigns, videos, and everything is made keeping the people who are gonna consume it in mind.
Emphasis on design & content
Design & content are not just important for getting more engagement on social media, these two things are the foundation on which we build a whole building called a ‘brand’. Every content that we put out there with Hungrito logo has been made with keeping the design at the center.
Consistency is the key
For your audience to recognize your brand, you must be consistent. It allows you to grow your reach and audience engagement. Hungrito is a great example of consistency as it shows the impact of posting content every single day for the last 3 years.
As Hungrito keeps on growing, we have also been focusing on balancing the number of promotions that we do via our socials. This step is to avoid becoming just another transactional promotion page on social media. We started Hungrito out of our love for food and to serve the community. We have been doing it and will continue to do so.
Starting from nothing, we have come a long way. Now that a huge community of over 100k people trust us with their eating out options, we take this job even more seriously. We have grown and learnt a lot on this journey, and to be honest, it still feels that we are just getting started. We intend to keep serving the foodie community in our current ways and in many bigger ones to come. Cheers!
